About the Willem C. Vis International Moot Arbitration Competition
Loyola students learn about international arbitration by drafting memoranda and presenting oral arguments based on a hypothetical problem involving a treaty on the international sale of goods. Our two teams travel to compete in either Vienna or Hong Kong, along with hundreds of other law school teams. They also attend Pre-Moots (practice moots) in New York for the Hong Kong team and in Stockholm and Zagreb for the Vienna team. Loyola has an impressive record of success at both competitions and took first place in Hong Kong in 2014 out of more than 90 teams.
